One of the most exciting aspects of AutoCAD WS is that it addresses the needs of a global audience and brings us users from all four corners of the globe.
This post is about the important and growing market of China. China is a vibrant market for AutoCAD WS with over 200,000 users registering and using the web app and the mobile app. It’s good to know that AutoCAD WS is playing its part in the next generation of buildings and engineering projects that are being developed there.
In future posts we will look at the market in countries like Italy, Spain, Brazil and Mexico. In each of these countries there is a growing community of AutoCAD WS users.
A while ago we asked our colleagues at Autodesk China about the best way to communicate with our Chinese users and they suggested that we create a parallel blog with translated versions of the posts we put up here and additional content aimed just for the local users.
You can see the Chinese version of this blog here: http://blog.sina.com.cn/autocadws
There is also a local microblogging service similar to Twitter that is popular there. AutoCAD WS China already has thousands of followers and contributers.
QA engineer, Hanson Wang, in Shanghai has worked on AutoCAD WS since the earliest days and he has been responsible for growing the WS community in China. Recently they ran a giveaway competition where users were asked to send in their designs with an “I Love AutoCAD WS” logo added in return for prizes. The response was fantastic.
Congratulations to all the WS team in China and thank you to all the WS users who sent in their designs. Have a look at a sample of the drawings we received.
