Copy Cat: The art of copying in AutoCAD 360
3:54 am  .   August 4, 2014  .   admin

Want to learn how to copy objects more efficiently? You’ve come to the right place!

Copying is done in three steps:

1) Select the object or objects you would like to copy.

2) Tap the “Copy” button in the Editing Toolbar.

3) Tap to set the base point of the copy, and tap again to set the second point, that will define the distance and direction of the copy tool.

4) The distance of the copy can be modified manually by tapping on the units box and entering the desired value.

When you are happy with the copy distance, tap on the V button.

Your new object will appear collinear with the original, the point distance away from the original, and parallel to the point distance line.

Easy? Try it out and let us know how you feel about it!
